OUR PURPOSE

Whole-person care.
Rooted in faith.

Health Reform Program brings the Bible, the health reform pioneers, and practical nutrition education into one welcoming place.

We believe care for the body can support a life of service, self-control, and gratitude. Our work invites people to explore simple foods and daily habits while keeping Christ and Scripture at the center.

Melissa Hogg founded Health Reform Program. She brings practical experience in plant-based meal planning, budget-conscious grocery shopping, and growing food in Hawaiʻi.

A RETURN TO PRIMITIVE GODLINESS

Recover the first
love of a faithful life.

We use “primitive godliness” to mean the sincere devotion, prayer, obedience, and compassionate service of the apostolic church.

“It is only as the law of God is restored to its rightful position that there can be a revival of primitive faith and godliness among His professed people.”

For us, health reform is one part of a larger Christian life. Food choices do not earn salvation; we look to Christ for grace and let faith bear fruit in care for ourselves and others.

Plant-based clinical education

The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) offers plant-based nutrition education and practical resources. Its clinical advocacy recommends plant-based eating; compare current materials with pioneer counsel and discuss personal health needs with a qualified clinician.

Where advice and evidence differ

Health Reform Program’s faith-based reading of pioneer counsel emphasizes returning toward the garden’s plant-food provision. Modern clinical recommendations reflect evolving evidence and individual needs; the comparison here is our interpretation of these health-reform principles.
